This is a 300 Norma Improved. After 5 different reamer designs and extensive testing with each one this improved version was chosen as the easiest to tune for peak accuracy, inhibit case growth, and ease of feeding. With lapua brass this cartridge is capable of pushing a 215 gr Berger over 3200 fps in a 26" barrel. It will shoot several different powder combos into .1moa. Recoil is very mild with my 5 Port "Muscle" brake. In a 10 lb w optics setup I can spot my hits no problem at 400 yds off the bipod w the scope at 25x. This combo has roughly 15% more energy at 1000 yds than a 28 nosler pushing a 195 berger at 3100 fps. Its also way easier to tune for 1/4moa or better accuracy. This version of the 300 norma improved has been the most accurate big magnum I have seen. My test rifle averaged .75"/.187 moa at 400 yds off the bipod w h1000 for 4 groups. Fireforming brass is a breeze. Just shoot factory ammo through it and the brass will form perfectly and will shoot sub half moa while doing it no problem. The average has been in the high .2s-low .3" range at 100 yds while fireforming w factory ammo.
