Barrel Timing and Headspace Tool

This tool allows you to perfectly index a barrel to the action without using shim gauges or cut and test guessing.  Its numbered in equal spacing for how many thousandths is in one revolution of threads according to the TPI.  Simply take the number that 12 oclock is at and then subtract what the action is currently timing at and subtract .0015 for crush fit.  Move the shoulder forward the amount and the action will time up perfectly.  The back has a hole so you can measure and record headspace with your depth mic.  Record all these dimensions for your customers action and youll never need to have the action in hand again.  Simply mail them a perfectly timed and headspaced barrel if they have a barrel vise.
